CT & MRI FOR PETS

Pacific Radiology in Nelson provides the ability for Halifax to CT and MRI pets. CT (Computed Tomography) and MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) provide a far more detailed image of internal structures and helps remove some confusion that X-ray can create. The process is straight forward but we do need to book ahead. CT and MRI have provided our patients with a high level of care for conditions like spinal pain, chest masses, nasal and ear problems as well as portosystemic shunts in puppies. CT and MRI make a remarkable difference in the diagnostic process as well as planning surgery and other treatment options. In many cases they help avoid unnecessary testing and treatment.
